Bernd Jonkmanns

Bernd Jonkmanns is a reportage photographer, vinyl collector, and author of numerous books on vinyl culture. He has been collecting records since he was 14 – his first was Outlandos d'Amour by The Police. With his acclaimed book Record Stores and the calendar series The Art of Vinyl Covers He has established himself as a chronicler of global vinyl culture. Since 2020, he has been organizing the First International Vinyl Club with Yared Dibaba – a vinyl talk with guests on Hamburg's Reeperbahn.

Die im Kalender abgedruckten Spotify Codes lassen sich direkt über die Spotify App scannen. Nicht jedes Album ist bei Spotify verfügbar.

Viele der im Kalender gezeigten Alben sind ältere Schallplattenveröffentlichungen. Diese sind nicht oder nicht vollständig digital verfügbar.

Der Kalender versteht sich in erster Linie als Hommage an das Coverdesign und die Geschichte der Vinylkultur, nicht als vollständiger digitaler Musikkatalog.

Der Spotify Code lässt sich nicht scannen – was kann ich tun?

Wenn ein Music Code nicht erkannt wird, überprüfe bitte folgende Punkte:

Warum haben manche Alben keinen Spotify Code?

Bei der Kalender-Serie „The Art of Vinyl Covers“ steht die Gestaltung der Cover und die Geschichte klassischer Schallplatten im Vordergrund. Viele der gezeigten Motive stammen von älteren oder historischen Vinyl-Veröffentlichungen.
